Lithuania to open fifth TIC abroad in London
29/04/2005 12:53

Bureaucratic barriers disrupt the further development of tourism in Lithuania.

Such an idea was expressed during a tourist board meeting on April 26. “Cooperation with tourism business associations is one of our main goals,” Alvitis Lukosevicius, director of the National Tourism Department, announced. Lukosevicius highlights the importance of Lithuanian TICs in foreign countries.

Lithuania has four such centers in Moscow, Helsinki, Berlin and Warsaw. Another should open in London this year. According to statistics, some 6 percent of Lithuania‘s GDP is created by the tourism sector.
