Tallink Group has signed a contract with Fincantieri Cantieri Navali Italiani S.p.A. to order a new fast ferry.
The new vessel should join the Tallink fleet in 2008
and the shipping company has also an option to order another similar
vessel.
The ordered fast ferry belongs to a new fast ferry generation – it
has an ice classification, carries 2,000 passengers, has a car deck, its length
is 175m and width 28 and its total speed is 29 knots.
