First cruise ship due in Saaremaa in May

Estonian Minister of Economy Edgar Savisaar recently checked over the construction of Saaremaa Port and hopes that it will be ready by the time of the arrival of the first cruise ship on 19 May.
During the summer about 10 cruise ships will visit
Saaremaa, bringing an estimated 6,000–8,000 additional tourists. Based on
statistics, a cruise tourist spends on average about EUR 100 at every
destination.
