Estonian Air calls Estonian fashion designers to update its crew uniforms
24/03/2010 14:43

Estonian Air announces a competition for the renewal of crew uniforms and calls on Estonian fashion designers together with domestic clothing producers to participate in the airline’s uniform design and production contest.

New uniforms have to be compatible with Estonian Air’s aircraft decor and external design, which is dominated by the blue colour. Entries must include national elements and their design and production should promote the Green Concept.

“Estonian Air wishes to differentiate itself from its competitors with better services and innovation by offering its clients added value and pleasant flight experiences. We hope for plentiful participation of local fashion designers and will keep the public informed on the results of the contest,” says Gunnar Mägi, Development Director of Estonian Air.

Estonian Air is kindly asking to inform on the intention to participate on the contest by e-mailing on marketing@estonian-air.ee by 31 March 2010 latest. Sketches of entries should be sent between 01 April and 14 April 2010. A designer’s work without the support of a clothing factory is not considered as an entry. Announcement of the winners together with showing all works will be carried out in May.

Estonian Air launched a major development project in February this year. The first step of the project was implementation of complimentary snacks and beverages to passengers having economy class tickets. Uniform update is the second step in this project. In total, Estonian Air plans to implement ten development projects, carried under a common name "Renewal of Estonian Air."
